Brown

Brown is a tertiary color. There are 2 ways to achieve brown.

  1. Mix 3 primary colors together to get brown
    1. Yellow + Red + Blue
  2. Mix a primary color with a secondary color at the opposite spectrum of the color wheel to get brown
    1. Yellow + Purple
    1. Blue + Orange
    1. Red + Green

In a perfect world, our brown color should have an equal component of each of the primary colors. Meaning a perfect brown would have an equal amount of each primary colors.

This information will become more important when we discuss color corrections (in a different section).
